At what price do we want Silverware?

On the cusp of the game against Ipswich its worth thinking about this a little. What cost would you be prepared to take for the Carling Cup?

Two, three, four years ago we were calling it the Worthless cup and were referring to it as a Tin Cup competition and we couldn't be more disinterested, nor bothered when our kids inevitably crashed out.

We've been close to winning this before, only to be undone by poor decisions from Arsene, the refereeing fraternity and our own players.

Here we are again, I want us to play our first choice Premier league 11 tomorrow night, but I think that won't happen, Arsene will want to rest his players following their win on Saturday and will risk the Carling Cup to rest players for Saturdays game against Huddersfield.

The question is, would you sacrifice the Carling Cup for a better shot at Huddersfield, or, like me would you rather take one game at a time and just keep winning?

  1. Arsenal need to build a logo of the most skill full and unbeaten team.

To build that we have to win or atleast try to win all.

For me the first 11 with minor changes must play at all times.

  2. i don't want RVP anywhere near the pitch at the Carling Cup. his long term health and fitness is to important and Ipswich are hard tacklers.

I would also prefer Nasri and Fab to get a sit. all that said, our second string guys need to be able to actually beat a team like ipswich, and their inability to do so speaks more to a team issue than anything.

  3. mmmm .. the only problem here is our first 11 is not robot. That is why resting them is important.
