Coming up trumps!

Its not winning games 4:0 that makes you a champion, you can't get results like that every week.

Its when the ball just doesn't go in the onion bag that you are judged. West Ham played extremely well yesterday. They defended with spirit, with numbers and with their bodies.

Rob Green, much-maligned goalkeeper of Englands failed world cup effort. Played an excellent game. World class saves were common fare from him yesterday. He prevented a cricket score, no doubt about it.

Arsenal were in full pomp yesterday as the hammers let them come on to them to try and hit us on the break. In truth our posession denied them anything more than a snif.

It was an excellent team performance. Everyone played to their maximum and I was pleased to see the continued growth of certain players. Song, Chamakh, Nasri, Koscielny all continued to impress.

Song has endeavoured to become more of a complete midfielder and yesterday he weighed in with another crucial goal. Song flicked the ball out wide to Clichy with the outside of his right foot, Clichy, criticised for his crossing ability delivered the perfect ball twixt defence and 'keeper and Song completing the one-two dived and headed past Green into the net.

The crowd exploded in relief, never has a goal been so deserved. After 88mins of pressure we were patient, we kept belief and we delivered.

Great performance, one that could make our season more than any win over Citeh could.
