Its at times like this I think - "What would Eboue do?"

He's naturally the joker of the team and someone who has endured a considerable amount of flack from the press and our fans. His mannerisms have often been pillioried for showing a lack of care or desire.

He's now been accepted back into the fold and people respect him for riding out the tough times and proving he's a good player on the pitch where his skills can do the talking.

I don't think he gets enough credit for the seamlessness with which he slots into the Arsenal team. His appearances this season have been sporadic and not necessarily deservedly so. Sagna is better defensively and he works well with Squillaci. Eboue is more of an attacker and loves to get forward and press back the opposition.

I rate Eboue, I like him as a person and he is well liked within Arsenal and the profession in general. He has his own pro's and cons like any player, his diving has caused much consternation but I still think he's an asset.

Is there a place for Eboue anymore? What job would he do?

  1. Yes there is a place for Eboue. I would like to see wenger change his tactics especially when the free flowing football is not working. Nowadays its very easy to get points against Arsenal. Just seat back soak the pressure then get them on the counter attack. We need someone who can get in crosses from the flanks ( Sagna is not doing that is he?) So Arsene should have brought in Eboue in place of Sagna

  2. sagna isnt crossing?, i assume you've only viewed like 2 games this season....and if you havent noticed eboue loves to run at defenders not go wide and cross it in(Sagna does that doesnt he?)

  3. We win more games with eboue playing than when he is not. AW is always stating statistics.
Eboue deserves to be playing in the first team.
He is a much better player all round than Sagna. He can also play defence or attacking midfield.
This lad given the chance can be a match winneer.
